ISO 45001:2018  Occupational health and safety management systems

Cirteq Ltd (part of the Titgemeyer Group) started manufacturing springs as Anderton Springs in 1939. Manufacturing however has changed since those days beyond recognition and Cirteq Ltd is now seen as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of circlips, retaining rings and snap rings.

Since 1996 Cirteq Ltd has operated its business from Hayfield Mill, Colne Rd, Glusburn near Keighley and during this time the company has strived to protect its workforce. This has not always been an easy task due to the nature of its processes but great efforts have been put in by the company and its workforce with some innovative ideas. Cirteq Ltd can now announce that it has achieved the accreditation ISO 45001:2018 as issued by UKAS and audited by The British Standards Institute.

What is this accreditation?

ISO 45001:2018 specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety management system (OHSAS), and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OHSAS performance.

ISO 45001:2018 is applicable to any organization that wishes to establish, implement and maintain an OHSAS management system to improve occupational health and safety, eliminate hazards and minimize OHSAS risks (including system deficiencies), take advantage of OHSAS opportunities, and address OHSAS management system nonconformities associated with its activities.
